CAMPAIGN Livv Housing strike

Unite demands fair pay talks with Livv Housing to resolve strike

Social housing provider Livv Housing proudly lists on its website “making a difference daily” as one of its core values. This, Livv Housing says, means “we invest in our people, our customers and the creation of a fairer society”.

If that’s the case, Livv is failing spectacularly to live up to its own values after refusing to pay its workers fairly amid a long-running dispute.

The repair, maintenance and call centre workers who service Livv’s 13,000 properties in Knowsley, Merseyside, have been on strike since October.

The dispute escalated in February, when Unite and Unison members across the organisation voted to go on continuous strike action the entire month. The workers are fighting for fair pay after they rejected a 5 per cent pay offer last year.
