Lighthouse


This lighthouse was built in 1828, on top of Southsea Castle. The castle was originally built by King Henry VIII in 1544.


The bottom of the lighthouse roof is 34 feet (10m 35cm) above the base (the bottom of the black stripe). The black and white painted stripes are of equal width.
