MyWorkwear supports Hope House Children’s Hospices M


yWorkwear has had a busy few months working with numerous charities that have faced a tough time during the pandemic. Most recently the the team supported Hope House in the launch of its new fundraising event, the Midsummer Walk. After an unprecedented year of lockdowns and limitations, many charities have suffered from the inability to hold their normal fundraising events. However, Hope House has looked to technology to help and has been running virtual activities. The latest event, which took place in June, was the Midsummer Walk, supported by MyWorkwear, which encouraged everyone to walk their way out of lockdown. Those involved walked 75 miles throughout June to raise vital funds for the children’s hospice. The 75

miles is the equivalent of a journey from Conwy Castle in North Wales to the Hope House offices in Oswestry, Shropshire. Hope House Children’s Hospices make sure that no one faces the death of their child alone. The hospices support more than 750 local families who are either caring for a terminally ill child, or whose child has died. It costs £6.5 million every year to run the


services but only 12-15% comes from statutory sources so fundraising is key for the charity to reach every child, mum, dad, brother and sister who needs their help. James Worthington, managing director of MyWorkwear, said: “We were approached by Hope House who was looking for a business to help them with the event. Obviously, we were more than happy to add our support and have produced goody bags for all those who are raising money for this fabulous charity.” Bekki Fardoe, assistant area fundraiser for Hope House, added: “This year has been hard for many charities but it’s important for us to continue to fundraise so we can help all those in need. We are thrilled to have had the support of MyWorkwear this year and I am sure our fundraisers are going to love their Midsummer Walk bags.”


Dimensions supports KFC’s Great British Spring Clean

he Great British Spring Clean took place from May 28 to June 13 to encourage the elimination of litter


across the UK.


Organised by Keep Britain Tidy, KFC UK and Ireland was a supporting partner throughout the campaign, and as such launched a number of initiatives to help drive the message home.


During one such initiative, team members across the country were deployed on a nationwide litterpick, wearing high-visibility vests provided by Dimensions. Staff at Dimensions’ Derbyshire headquarters were also encouraged to join the #MillionMileMission, which saw Keep Britain Tidy aim to clean one million miles of British outdoor spaces. A total of 1.15 million miles were cleaned during the campaign. Phil Harland, director of client services, said: “Dimensions has an environmental

team and a number of litter heroes who do litter picks around the local area to help improve the environment, so we were delighted to be able to support KFC’s mission by providing their team members with hi-vis vests. KFC’s campaign is a great initiative to reduce litter and help Keep Britain Tidy reach their million-mile target.”


Dimensions funds


30,000 breakfasts Since becoming a supporter of the Greggs Breakfast Club programme in 2016, Dimensions has donated a minimum of 30,000 breakfasts to school children who live in food insecure households in Roe Farm Primary School.


Helen Weston, head teacher at the Derby-based school, said: “The funding support we receive from Dimensions it a real benefit to the children as it enables those who attend to receive a healthy and nutritious breakfast that sets them up for the day ahead. They are able to try a range of different healthy breakfasts to fuel their brain ready for learning.”
