Hello everyone, and welcome to a super-sunny edition of Park World. I hope it’s great weather where you are. It’s record- breaking in the UK right now, and though I’ve waited since November for this moment, I find myself having to live with the curtains drawn until about 9pm at night in case the gerbils cook in their glass enclosure! No casualties to speak of yet (although Bolt was looking a bit crispy the last time he crawled out to get some water). Pray for them, if you will. Meanwhile we have another loaded issue for you, as we catch up with last month’s cover stars, Reverchon as well as THIS month’s cover stars, SimEx-Iwerks. Susan Storey pops up with her usual Park Hoppin’ column as well as a look into the world of Enchanted Parks as they focus on guest experience, anniversary celebrations and capital improvements. Tom Anstey is feeling particularly chirpy about all that we have to look forward to this year while I was fortunate enough to get all dressed up and attend Chat Noir (complete with way too much absinthe!) – check out the feature on page 28 for more on that little adventure. As always, I bring you a sweep across the industry’s big movements this month in our Updates section, and the rest of the magazine… well, I’ll leave you something to discover for yourselves!
