Hello once again, and welcome to the first Park World of 2025! I won’t lie – the end of last year was a hectic one. It felt like I started rolling downhill with no brakes in September, and then we started to pick up speed in Amsterdam for IAAPA Europe and never really slowed down as we zoomed through IAAPA Orlando and screamed towards Christmas and New Year! I can only hope that the big holiday break was an excellent one for all of you and that you’re ready to dive head-first into 2025. Our Winter issue is something of a hangover from IAAPA, with plenty of news and reports from the show. Our North American Editor, Susan, has a break down of some of the big ride reveals from the show, as well as a report on Wolf Lodge. I’ve been keeping my eyes open too, and there
oming weeks and months – let’s continue to talk about t thhem, as when gates re-open, they will undoubtedly be (or ccontinue to be) a success. This includes SuntagoWater World in Poland, where PolinWaterparks has installed 15 oof its signature slides (pp22-23), and all of the other f faantastic theme parks, water parks, FEC’s and location- bbased entertainment mentioned throughout the issue.

were no shortages of other announcements to bring to your attention, so that’s exactly what we’re doing in our Updates section. As far as our big industry interview goes, my timing was… shall we say, unique! I sat down with Merlin’s big cheese, Scott O’Neil, only to have him announce his departure some days later! It was none the less and excellent insight into his time with the company, and the plans for the future, so please don’t miss out on the Industry Insider piece on page 14. There’s plenty more in this issue to get your teeth into, but I won’t spoil the surprise by listing it all here (that’s what we’ve got a contents page for!). Please enjoy the issue, and let’s get 2025 off to a
