Adventure Park and Nature Sanctuary Planned for Former Belfast Landfill A
former landfill site in north Belfast is set to be transformed into a giant- themed adventure park and nature
development.
The ambitious project, located on a 250-acre site along Dargan Road, will see the first phase convert 160 acres into an adventure park. This initial phase, which could begin construction as early as winter 2025 pending planning approval, is expected to take two years to complete. The remaining 90 acres of the site are earmarked for mixed-use developments, including distribution and logistics hubs, along with other commercial ventures. development is projected to create over 1,000 permanent jobs, contributing significantly to the local economy.
