JOFLI the ‘Journey of life’ bear

T

he concept of children taking the class bear home has been around for many years, however instead of putting together a bear, bag and exercise book of your own, you can now find the complete package, and more, in Jofli the ‘Journey of life’ bear.

Engage children and parents in various topics by asking them to talk, read, write and add pages to Jofli’s journal, by hand or online, as each bear also has a secure online map to plot his adventures and upload photos. Activities can be adapted to cover many areas of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum to include children with a wide range of abilities from 3-7.

Jofli Bears have been used for many purposes, road safety, literacy and transition to name a few. The ring-binder style journal allows practitioners to easily add their own photos on a specific topic to prompt discussion and initiate activities. By using the website, pages can easily be printed and cut out to add to the journal or viewed online. Jofli Bears are machine washable and come in 3 sizes with 5 coloured backpacks. They also have their own outfits so you can dress your bear for his adventures, or even personalise his t-shirt with your school logo!
