GROUPCALL EMERGE: the gateway to your school’s MIS data. Anytime, anywhere, on anything.

G

roupcall Emerge is the gateway to your school’s MIS – anytime, anywhere and on

anything. Whether you’re using a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer, it allows you to do the following at a time and place that’s convenient for you:

• Take attendance registers (in approximately 30 seconds instead of the estimated 8 minutes with a paper register)

• Take dinner registers • Record behavioural and achievement notes, complete with photographic or video evidence

• Access timetables • Find parents’ contact details • View student information, such as medical notes

• Mark assessments Emerge now also supports Programmes of

Study. This allows you to record Assessments without Levels for SIMS no matter where you are or what device you are using – ideal for when you want to mark work at home. Staff and student safety is paramount for

Groupcall, which is why they have created Emerge to be ideal for use in an emergency. It features a Help Me button which a teacher can activate in the event that they need urgent assistance. This will alert pre-identified key staff to the teacher in need and their location based on their timetable, so that help can reach them as soon as possible. Emerge is also ideal for use during a fire drill.

The Fire Register functionality intelligently identifies your expected class based on your timetable, whilst presenting you with a photo of one student at a time to register. This allows attendance to be taken visually and at a glance. This speed and ease is crucially important during a particularly chaotic situation. Emerge makes crisis management and coping

when the unexpected happens as easy as possible for the school community. As the system works both online and offline, all

of your MIS data is available even if you have no Internet, such as if the school network was to malfunction. You can continue using Emerge as normal and as soon as you have re-established an Internet connection it will write back any recent recordings to the MIS automatically. This also makes Emerge ideal for use in PE lessons, on school trips or anywhere off of the main school site where an Internet connection may not be as reliable.

Here’s what schools currently using Emerge think of the system:

“I have found it invaluable when meeting parents. I can show them behaviour, achievement and attendance information when we are talking – it is immediate. It’s also great for taking registration on the go!” – Stoke Damerel Community College

“We would recommend Emerge to anyone who is looking for a mobile registration solution. It will definitely increase their usable lesson time and overall teaching flexibility.” – Holmesdale Technology College

“If you wanted the system back I’m afraid we wouldn’t let you take it! Our staff and support team love it! – Parkstone Grammar School
