All are flexible, open-ended and adaptable, so

that you can use them easily and in the best way for you and your students. Select from them depending on what you want to achieve, the time available and whether students are in school or at home.

4. Finish off with some fun! The Red Nose Day quiz and puzzle pack includes a quiz with three rounds, a spot the difference challenge, word search and maze. All have been designed so that you can share them directly with pupils, with answers in a separate PDF.

Why not use them: • In a circle time session • As the basis for fun, engaging virtual sessions if pupils are working from home • As a class activity on Red Nose Day itself, as a fun way to round off the event When using the learning resources, please be

aware that some pupils in your class may have been affected by some of the issues raised by Ethan’s story. Further information and support are available at comicrelief.com/support

1. Start with an assembly The Red Nose Day assembly for secondary schools acts as an introduction to Red Nose Day – what it is and why people raise money for Comic Relief. It includes a link to a film in which Courtney tells her story and shares her feelings. The assembly comes in the form of a

PowerPoint that has been designed to be flexible enough for you to deliver to your form or bubble, or for students to access themselves from home. Guidance to help you use the assembly, including talking points for you to share in a group discussion in the classroom or online, comes in a separate PDF.

3. Fun fillers The Red Nose Day quiz and puzzle pack includes a quiz with three rounds, a spot the difference challenge and word puzzles. All have been designed so that you can share them directly with students, with answers in a separate PDF.

At one point, Courtney made the tough decision to cut him out of her life and they went almost 10 months without contact. Today, Richie has turned his life around.

Inspired to help others, he started his own charity supporting people experiencing homelessness. With funding from Comic Relief, Steps to Hope
