The Escape Room experience was back! Once again, Bett teamed up with teacher training organisation Tablet Academy, and a range of Ed- Tech providers to bring something completely different, The Bett Show Escape Room Experience. The Escape Room experience was designed to
provide the opportunity to engage with classroom technology solutions in an exciting and brain taxing way by having visitors solve a series of challenges using the very technology you can deploy in your classroom. Visitors could navigate their way through a series of 3 rooms each containing a ‘Crystal Maze’ style challenge and collaborate with colleagues to solve the puzzle in each room within the allocated time in order for them to escape.
Raising money for Mind With one of the major themes for Bett 2020 being wellbeing, the show hosted an incredible #EduFootyAid charity football tournament on the Saturday. The tournament was organised in part- nership with 2Simple and in support of Mind, the mental health charity – it highlighted the im- portance of wellbeing and mental health within the education sector. With increasing workload on teachers and social pressures on pupils, the tournament highlighted the importance of ensuring pos-itive learning environments, where students and teachers alike can flourish. Together with Bett and the players, this event
raised over £5,000 for Mind, taking the total raised through #EduFootyAid to over £15,000.
WHY VISIT IN 2021? Not only did Bett 2020 have record breaking visitor registrations, but feedback from attendees was overwhelming with many exhibitors and visitors both agreeing that it was the best Bett to date. Christian Smith, Director of ICT at St Benedicts School, London said “I come to Bett to find something that can move our school into the next generation - to see new technologies, some cutting-edge in-novation and to give us new ideas for our curriculum and students”.
