Dear Reader,
Welcome to the latest issue of Education Today. With the nation now under lockdown and all schools closed for learning, education has moved online for the vast majority of teachers and students. In one way, we are lucky – technology allows learning to continue despite the restrictions placed on us, in ways that generations before us could scarcely have imagined. We have already published a supplement highlighting some of the many e-learning solutions available now, so we have tried to keep this issue of the magazine as close to business as usual as is possible, but I thought it would be helpful to run the supplement’s major e-learning feature in this issue as well, given that it contains such good information. Elsewhere in the magazine this month,
we look at the multi-million pound Sports and Wellness Hub at the University of Warwick, and learn how it has played a pivotal role in supporting the university’s ambition of becoming the “most physically active campus community in the UK by 2020”. Elsewhere, we have all the usual news
and views, as well as our SEND spotlight section with Joanne Gladders and Kate Sarginson; and contributions from our regular writers including Graham Cooper, Kirsty Bertenshaw and Felicia Jackson. Remember, we love to hear from you, you can get in touch with us via Twitter @EdTodayMag, Facebook and our homepage, as well as by phone or email. Enjoy the issue and stay safe!
