Playson signs partnership with Superbet

asino software developer Playson has signed a deal to provide its suite of games to top Romanian operator Superbet. The agreement will see the
innovative slot provider boost the sportbook’s casino offering with titles including Solar Queen, Vikings Fortune: Hold and Win and Fruit Supreme: 25 lines, the latest addition to its Timeless Fruit Slots series.
Having recently obtained its Romanian licence from the country’s regulator (ONJN), this deal is lanka Homor, Sales Director for Playson, said: “We’re delighted to have inked this partnership Romania has been paramount after obtaining our licence from the ONJN and we’re thrilled to offer our games to Superbet’s customers.”
PayPal launches crackdown P
ayPal has made changes to its terms of use in Germany which will see operators prohibited from
using the popular online payment system to process transactions for products that are not legal in the jurisdiction in which they are used.
Given that online casino games are not legal outside of the state of Schleswig- Holstein in Germany, the rule effectively prohibits the use of PayPal for igaming payments in the remainder of the country. The changes – which will come into effect on 21 October – also adds that “if you are unsure as to whether or not a specific offer is permitted, you must ensure that it is legal before using PayPal’s services.”
According to PayPal, the added term exists to clarify section 9.1 of its user agreement, which already prohibit clients from the “infringement of applicable law, contract or regulation.” In June, Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen)

Analysts at Regulus Partners have suggested that enforcement of the Treaty, which prohibits in-play wagering and online casino, as well as setting a mandatory €1,000 monthly spending limit for players and a 5% turnover tax, could slash operators’ revenue from the market. However, GVC Holdings, which is one of the country’s largest operators, has suggested that delays to the licensing process were likely, resulting in companies being able to continue offering in-play and online casino.
SKS365 hit with €124m Italian tax claim P
lanetWin365 operator SKS365 has
been issued with a tax inspection report claiming that it owes €124m to the Italian
authorities, having failed to declare significant revenue generated in the country’s regulated gambling market. An audit of the business carried out
by the Guardia di Finanza (GDF) of the Reggio Calabria region claims the operator generated significant
undeclared income. This was
accumulated through the operation of unlicensed betting cafés, as well as bets placed online and

through other means in the 2015 and 2016 fiscal years, it said. The GDF claims that as a result of these activities, SKS365 owes €6m in regional taxes, €47m in corporation tax and a further €71m in income tax.
The document issued by the GDF, a
law enforcement body that handles financial crimes, does not constitute a demand for payment. The
operator has 60 days following the receipt of the report to submit a rebuttal to the Italian tax authorities, which will then reach a conclusion on the sum, if any, that is owed.

Authentic Gaming appoints Melvin Hulleman as Head of Account Management
Authentic Gaming, the live roulette specialist, has bolstered its senior management team following the appointment of former Betsson Group Managing
Director Melvin Hulleman as Head of Account Management. Hulleman’s appointment forms part of a move to strengthen the management team at the fast-growing live dealer provider which will see current Head of Sales and Account Management, Magdalena Podhorska- Hulleman joins Malta-based Authentic Gaming from the Betsson Group where, over a nine-year career with the operator, he rose from Customer Service Agent to Managing Director. At Authentic Gaming, he will be responsible for driving growth and executing key strategic goals. Podhorska-Okolow joined Authentic Gaming in 2017 and has played a key role in securing new operator partners and taking the company from rising star to market leader in a short space of time. She will continue to do this as CCO while playing a more direct role in commercial side of the business.
