Since its launch in 2020, WFF has positioned itself as the non-profit trade association specifically for industrial fabricators working with natural stone and engineered surfaces.

B

By joining, you align your business with a recognised body working to raise standards and professionalism across the industry – giving you credibility among peers, clients and suppliers.

1. Access a professional network – share knowledge, best practice and industry insight

WFF was built by fabricators who recognised how isolating business can be if you’re working within a small team. As a member you join a community of peers and suppliers – you can share experiences, discuss common challenges, collaborate and benefit from collective knowledge.

2. Demonstrate quality, professionalism and ethical business practice WFF membership signals to customers, showrooms, contractors and designers that your workshop adheres to higher standards: rigorous training, proper insurance, well-managed health and safety, and ethical business operations.

In a market where there are those who cut corners – especially when it comes to safety, dust control and material handling – being a WFF member can help your business stand out and build trust.

3. Stay up-to-date on health and safety standards – including critical industry news

One of WFF’s central aims is to promote good working practices and policies for health and safety in the workplace. As a member you get early access to the latest health and safety news affecting our industry – from updates on silica dust and respirable dust risk, to regulatory changes, safety campaigns and industry-wide initiatives. WFF works with official regulators including the Health & Safety Executive to monitor and improve dust exposure standards. That means you can ensure your workshop remains compliant – protecting your workforce, reducing risk, and staying ahead of changing laws or guidance.

4. Gain access to discounts, training, consultancy and industry influence WFF members benefit from discounts on health and safety consultancy and professional training. Beyond that, as part of a unified industry body, you have the opportunity to contribute to consultations from regulatory bodies (e.g. through representation to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), influence the definition of best practices and help shape the future standards of the worktop fabrication industry.
