In short – I foresee serval things but focusing on two specifically. First, more manufacturers will start dealing direct on contracts and


specifications. Clerkenwell Road now has a dozen or so manufacturers showrooms and


Chelsea Harbour a similar amount. It’s always been the industry’s worst kept secret that many manufacturers


who profess to ‘support the independent’ are supplying contractors direct. You also have an


influx of unknown brands that have no relationship with retailers so can start as they mean to go on.


Second, retailers


that don’t design, supply AND offer the fitting service will gradually get frozen out as many still persist in selling brands through sheer laziness or habit and then wonder why they get hammed online. The economy is
