INTERVIEW: HOT100
GIO: How important are the collaborations and connections formed at HOT100? RW: People come back to HOT100 year after year, although of course we also always have new people attending. They return because of the friendships and camaraderie formed during the event that outlast a fleeting business card exchange. Even if you don’t do any business together at that moment, you will long remember those relationships should the opportunity arise in the future for collaboration.
GIO: This year the event is in Vietnam; why was this location chosen? RW: We held the first HOT100 in March 2024 in Vietnam, and it was a wonderful experience. The next one was in Bangkok, Thailand, in December 2024, then Thailand again, in Pattaya in December 2025.
We’re returning to Vietnam this year because it’s one of the few markets that is taking slow but positive steps towards liberalisation of its gaming and sports betting industries, and I think it’s an opportune time for people to get the lay of the land and make connections.
GIO: What were some of the highlights from Thailand last year? RW: The event we held at The Andaz in Pattaya was truly unforgettable. From the spectacular beachside cocktail reception and dinner on the first night, to the excellent golf and fun padel tournament, to witnessing the local fireworks festival on the final night, the event was filled with special moments. The venue really made it a stand-out event.
GIO: Can you tell us what those invited this year might be able to expect? RW: This year, we’re finalising something exciting about the golf tournament that I think people will be excited about. I also already have some great speakers lined up to provide something a bit different and thought-provoking during the business portions of the programme. It’s at another stunning resort, so delegates can be sure that they will be well-looked after during their stay. They are even welcome to bring their spouses!
