hree years ago the clever people at Edmolift’s renowned technical centre, near Cambridge, were set the task to develop a low rise goods lift platform to satisfy the demands of the world’s largest hamburger fast food restaurant chain. A lift to vertically transport heavy roll- cages in a kitchen environment.
It had to be robust, safe, compact and easy to use. It also had to suit every type of kitchen quickly from stock and installed in just one day.
The product Edmolift produced was the brilliant MCL500 with a unique rotatable barrier system allowing through car, adjacent left and adjacent right entry and exit that can be set up on site as part of a simple installation process. The lightweight aluminium load ramp with a slope of only 12 degrees can also be moved to a side of your choosing without adaptation. This highly The success of the MCL concept has now led to Edmolift launching a full range of MCL models with the original MCL500 being the baby of the series. 500Kg, 1000Kg, 2000Kg, 3000Kg, 4000Kg, 6000Kg and 10,000Kg models have now been launched with platform sizes to suit all low rise goods lift and loading dock lift applications.

goal post barriers and bridge plates. Standard included in the impressive launch line-up. The designers have kept to the original remit of a lift with style and substance, MCL lifts complement the built environment and never look out of place in contemporary locations, a Handy, real-world features include drink illuminated platform and control stations and bellow skirts to prevent accidental entry into the scissor mechanism. The MCL500 will be on display at this year’s Liftex Exhibition, Excel, London, and is currently available to try at the Ed-molift showroom near Cambridge.
