Storage Systems chooses Hart Doors for Durham Box project
Hart Doors, the leading designer and manufacturer of both commercial and industrial doors, has completed the installation of a Speedor Mini at Durham Box’s 70,000 sq ft factory, Bishop Auckland, where in excess of 20 million packaging products per year are produced principally for the FMCG sector. Gordon Kipling at Hart Doors says:
“Working through Storage Systems we were delighted to have supplied the first Speedor Mini for Durham Box. Installed in a very busy manufacturing facility, the Speedor Mini’s function was to open/close quickly in order to maintain a good internal shop-floor working environment.” Durham Box services a broad segment of the corrugated packaging market. Darren Rowcroft,
managing director of Storage Systems comments: “Hart supplied a great service from start to finish, exactly how I like to do business.”

Grommet with staged membrane rings icotek’s new cable grommet KT-SC with peelable membrane rings has removable rings with graduated sealing areas.
The new grommet KT-SC is based on company's KT large size grommet. It enables the routing and sealing of cables and hoses with diameters from 5 to 28mm. The single membrane rings can be peeled away according to the diameter
of the routed cable or hose. All you have to do is pierce a small hole between the rings. Afterwards the corresponding ring can be removed. The rings are marked with the letters A to F. This marking shows the corresponding diameter of the inserted cable. The KT-SC can be integrated into all
divisible cable entry frames (KEL, KEL-U, KEL-ER, KVT and KEL-FG) which accommodate large KT cable grommets. The KT-SC is made of elastomer, achieves IP54 class and is suitable for a temperature range between - 40 to +100°C.

Upgraded AOF Oil Mist Filters from AirBench
AirBench Ltd have announced an upgraded range of AOF Oil Mist Filters. The AOF range is designed for extraction of oil mist and smoke from machining applications. AOF units can be machine-mounted, or supplied with separate stands where required. AOF is designed to use the wind shear principle
for initial separation of mist from airstreams. As the contaminant loading on the fan is very low, typically they do not suffer from loss of impeller balance and so can be serviced in-house at relatively long intervals. Units are supplied as standard with a high-grade final
filter with an estimated life of up to 3600 working hours. Usually available from stock, and supplied complete with all parts required
for mechanical installation, AirBench can solve most mist extraction issues quickly and simply.

New packaging underpins brand security for Henkel LOCTITE products
Engineering adhesives manufacturer, Henkel, whose brands include LOCTITE, TEROSON and BONDERITE, has introduced new packaging to thwart those who seek to imitate its products. The likelihood of intellectual property theft has risen in line with
the company’s success and it extends way beyond brand protection. As recently as December 2019, 103 people were arrested in
China after forged LOCTITE adhesives, valued at £5.5m, were seized. The ramifications are far reaching as there was clear potential for the inferior products to cause severe and costly damage in the field. In the case of a threadlocking adhesive, for example, the
outcome could be catastrophic. If the counterfeit product was used to lock a threaded assembly in a piece of equipment that is operation critical and the mechanism failed, the cost saving would pale into insignificance when considered against potential production losses, reputational damage and safety issues.
