Manufacturing show and follows a similar format and scope, but with a distinct regional focus, reflecting the unique character of engineering enterprise in the area. As the only dedicated industrial


technology show in the North West – the UK's most important manufacturing region – the show has quickly garnered a reputation as an important marketplace for the region’s engineering subcontractors to promote their expertise and for component vendors to pitch their wares. Approximately 20 per cent of visitors


are from the energy and utilities sectors, making it a valuable show for those looking to service these sectors. For visitors, the diversity of firms taking part delivers ample opportunity to address multiple sourcing issues in a single visit. Components and sub-assemblies of all

CIE Electronics highlights a range of custom-designed and manufactured connectors, cables and electronic components. Pioneering


sensor specialist ESI Technology returns to the exhibition with its speciality range of pressure transducers and transmitters featuring Silicon-on- Sapphire sensor technology for greater accuracy and reliability. Design and manufacturing expertise


on offer this year covers an incredible range of activities, from PCB and contract electronics manufacture to precision engineering and machine building. Flux Rose designs, develops and manufactures bespoke electronic control units for consumer, automotive and defence customers. It will be demonstrating its access platform controller, a microprocessor-controlled I/O module designed for automotive platforms. Hallmark Electronics is a CEMS with its own in-house PCB manufacturing facility. Customers can benefit from a complete service of PCB, component procurement, assembly and test, just PCBs or just assembly. Other assembly specialists exhibiting this year include DJ Assembly and Yorkshire's Contract Production. Universal Fabrications returns for


2019. The Coventry-based firm is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of precision fabrications, sheet metal and machined parts. Cable harness assembly specialist, Wireco, designs and produces wiring systems for a wide range of applications, from R&D prototypes to full production. Another cable specialist exhibiting this year is FS Cables, a firm stocking no less than 3,500 separate product lines, with a further 6,000 on short lead times. The show also hosts an extensive


selection of engineering support services. UNIS Group specialises in repairing and refurbishing industrial electronics and motors. Faulty or worn-out industrial hardware is cleaned, repaired and tested in accordance with modern quality standards, allowing customers to extend the working life of their existing hardware. Exhibiting for the first time in 2019, Eurotherm – part of Schneider Electric - is a global supplier of temperature and process control, measurement and data recording systems, designed to add value to industrial processes, improving quality, reducing waste and ensuring data is kept safe. Alongside the hardware and services on show, Northern Manufacturing 2019





also boasts an impressive free technical seminar programme, which runs over both days. Highlights of the 2019 programme include sessions by award winning author, creator of the Lean Iceberg Model and partner at S.A. Partners, Gary Griffiths. Andy Brunskill, author of TPM: A Foundation of Operational Excellence will share his 11 step model which can be used to deploy an effective, systematic Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programme. Further sessions include advice on
