A
s Summer rolls in and the second half of the year begins, Ireland’s manufacturing sector continues to demonstrate the resilience and adaptability that have become hallmarks of the industry. Despite ongoing economic and geopolitical uncertainty, manufacturers across the country continue to innovate, invest and identify new opportunities for growth.
One of the highlights of the past two months has been the 2026 Bord Bia Bloom festival, which celebrated its 20th anniversary. Irish Manufacturing were invited over to Phoenix Park, Dublin by the event for a media preview of Bord Bia Bloom Show Gardens and festival launch. For Ireland’s food and beverage sector, Bloom remains

an invaluable platform to showcase the innovation and sustainability that underpin the industry. Bringing together producers, manufacturers and consumers, the event highlighted the strength of Irish food and drink manufacturing, while providing a stage for emerging businesses to share their products with a wider audience.
The Irish Manufacturing team has also been on the road in England, attending Interplas, at the NEC Birmingham, to explore the latest developments in plastics manufacturing and injection moulding. From advancements in automation and smart production technologies to innovations in sustainable materials, the exhibition provided a fascinating insight into the trends shaping the future of manufacturing across Europe.
This issue also marks an exciting milestone for the magazine as we welcome a new voice to our editorial team. Sam Jones joins Irish Manufacturing this month, bringing a passion for uncovering the stories behind Ireland’s manufacturing success. We are delighted to have him on board and look forward to sharing more of his work with readers in the months ahead. I hope you enjoy this issue, and as always, be sure to follow us across our social channels to stay up to date with the latest manufacturing news and developments between editions.
Enjoy the issue.
