MANUFACTURING SOLUTIONS IRELAND

Manufacturing Solutions Ireland 2026 – another successful event delivered at the Technological University of The Shannon

On Thursday 11 June the annual ‘Manufacturing Solutions Ireland’ (MSI) event took place at the Coonagh campus of The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS).

T

his event has established itself over the last decade as the biggest engineering event in Ireland, a must-attend for all

those involved in the manufacturing supply chain. Innovators and decision makers from across the UK and Ireland returned for the 2026 event. There was a networking dinner on the evening of 11 June organised by the PTMA, The Precision Tooling & Machining Association of Ireland. The exhibition and conference programme on 12 focussed on the  surrounding companies in Limerick and Shannon commercial zones. It was a very busy day with hundreds of visitors through the door. Alan Arthur, CEO of the GTMA said: “This

annual event is a fantastic opportunity for manufacturers and OEMs in UK and Ireland to meet and form alliances. Complex manufacturing problems require integrated supply chains and strong partnerships between companies to deliver solutions. This event is a platform to inform and facilitate those alliances alongside an excellent set of key presentations. The place to do business.” This year the event featured a ‘Meet the Buyer’

programme engaging with senior representatives from The European Organisation for Nuclear Research, known as CERN. The work of CERN requires ongoing supply chain partners to deliver products and services requiring the quality and

precision typical of aerospace and biomedical sectors. Exhibitors and delegates were given the opportunity to submit an application in advance of the event and 1-2-1 meetings were scheduled through the day. This was a unique opportunity to engage directly with Project Managers at CERN to pitch for sub-contract manufacture and processing work.

As this event grows in size and scope the

GTMA, co-hosts with TUS, have introduced additional and complementary elements. This 

During the event a Memorandum of

Understanding, MOA, was signed by TUS/GTMA and the Manufacturing Technologies Association  in June 2027, further expanding the exhibition areas with the addition of MTA members enriching the visitor experience. We expect record attendance for the 2027 event, running over two days on 16 & 17 June. The Meet the Buyer will be featuring with a speed dating opportunity for supply chain companies to engage directly with OEMs. We will also see the addition of an automation zone in 2027. A spokesperson for Enterprise Ireland said:

“Manufacturing Solutions Ireland provides an excellent opportunity for companies to connect with industry peers, discover emerging technologies, and explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth. Enterprise Ireland is delighted to support an event that continues to strengthen Ireland’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem.”
