accordance with all the current standards. For safety-oriented applications, VOFC and VOFD robust pilot valves are the perfect choice. These solenoid valves meet the highest safety standards (up to SIL3, explosion protection). This allows Festo to provide complete automation of quarter-turn actuators for a massive range of applications.

hoosing the right media for the application and then quickly
matching the appropriate quarter turn actuator with all the right accessories can be done in a few application driven mouse clicks without having to look at a single data sheet or drawing. The combinations are complete with all flanges, mountings and accessories, right-first-time’. The basis of the selection is a core
range of butterfly and ball media valves. Once these are selected, the rest simply falls into place with the sector leading DFPD quarter turn actuator. Thanks to its versatility and flexibility,
the DFPD is suited to a wide variety of sectors and markets. Its modern, simple and compact design impresses, whether it is used with butterfly, ball valves, shut off valves or air dampers in the chemical, pharmaceutical or beverage industry or for water treatment and other areas of process automation. The rack and pinion combination is a great addition to the market, in both the single and double- acting versions with maximum torque of up to 2,300 Nm.
FLEXIBLE IN OPERATING PRESSURE The single-acting version is particularly compact and modular. Thanks to the optimised spring design it can be

configured in increments of 0.5 bar for more energy efficient use. With nine spring combinations, the quarter turn actuator DFPD meets the most precise operating pressure requirements between 2 and 6 bar. The rotation angle for standard sizes is up to 90° and for sizes 40, 120, 240 and 480 it increases to 180°. The basic version of the DFPD is
suitable for temperatures between -20 and +80 °C. A low-temperature variant is designed for arctic regions and covers temperatures down to -50 °C whilst the high-temperature variant can be used up to +150 °C. With its corrosion-resistant surface coatings, the actuator can be reliably and flexibly applied in harsh operating conditions. It can be mounted anywhere, and the end positions can be adjusted by ± 5° at both ends, ensuring high flexibility during operation.
A COMPLETE PACKAGE COVERING THE ENTIRE VALUE CHAIN Control can either be end-to-end supported by a range of visual indicators and sensor boxes such as the SRBC/SRBE/SRBG units enabling simple digital control and full position sensing. For proportional applications, the CMSX positioner is ideal e.g. for analogue control in dosing tasks. The Namur pilot valves VSNC are certified worldwide in
MULTI-COMPONENT PROCESS VALVES ASSEMBLIES – FAST AND RELIABLE CONFIGURATIONS The Festo process valve configurator is available free online. The tool ensures quick and successful project management by taking all relevant factors into account: from initial product search, configuration, sizing and documentation right through to ordering and delivery of the ready-to-install process valve unit – including customer-specific requests. Configured process valve units can be

ordered as a set of parts or delivered ready-to-install, with all components perfectly matched. Together with the proposed solution, the configurator generates an order ID for the complete combination, which can be used for placing future orders - eliminating the need for multiple component order numbers and significantly reducing time in purchasing and logistics. There are also benefits in terms of documentation because the CAD data for the complete combination can be downloaded in accordance with the configuration.
