BHETA and Stax to hold meet the buyer event

Grow healthy together with LOFA and Perennial

LOFA has announced its partnership with Perennial, a charity working to support and promote the health of those who work in horticulture. As part of this partnership, LOFA has pledged to donate £20,000 to help Perennial in their efforts. LOFA is supporting Perennial

to promote positive health and wellbeing through sponsoring an Interactive Health Kiosk that

BHETA is to host a Meet the Buyer event with Stax Trade Centres. The event will take place on Thursday 13th October at the Worsley Park Marriott Hotel, Manchester. This speed networking event allows potential suppliers to meet with a key garden and home improvement/DIY distributor, in timed 20-minute appointments. Buyers representing key product categories will

all be in

attendance and suppliers are encouraged to focus on product features and benefits, together with

cost price proposals.

Suppliers should also note that Stax will give preference to those who come prepared with a range of products rather than just single items. Sustainable credentials are key for future domestic markets and branded and own label products are always of significant interest. Stax will not consider any suppliers or products on a trial basis, in line with its ‘one in; one out’ policy. Chief

of their physical

and mental health. The kiosk carries out a ‘health MOT’ which includes Wellbeing Age, weight, BMI, body fat content, blood pressure and heart rate which was identified as a critical issue from Perennial’s research. Taking a health MOT can take from as little as eight minutes

enabling people to self-test key indicators of

their general

health and wellbeing and walk away with a personal confidential printout of their results with a comparison to medical accepted standards. The Interactive Health Kiosk is effective as an early warning system for potential health problems such as high blood pressure. These checks will be provided in a LOFA
