Bug Blaster from BARRETTINE has been designed to be a trusted, reliable and effective insecticide- free spray and aerosol, it has now been reformulated to contain a water soluble polymer that acts with a physical mode of action. The liquid polymer coating immobilises the insect and as a secondary consequence of this film coating, the insect dies. There is no residual action of this formulation, as Bug Blaster contains no insecticide and the knockdown is rapid, says the company. The new range meets the updated regulations for amateur approved products, where new maximum individual pack regulations take effect from March 1, 2018. The products are also in line with the new restrictions on actives for amateur rodenticides, which need to be below the 30ppm threshold - also from March 1, 2018. The range covers three very palatable formulations based on fast-working actives: Knock Out Blocks in a 300g tub (25ppm difenacoum) supplied in an outer pack of 12 tubs, Knock Out Pasta sachets in a 150g carton (29ppm difenacoum) supplied in an outer pack of 24 cartons, and Knock Out cereal/wheat sachets in a 150g carton (29ppm brodifacoum) supplied in an outer pack of 24 cartons.
