EVERBUILD says its Multi-Use Wonder Wipes live up to their name, removing almost everything from a variety of surfaces with ease. According to the company, the wipes’ ability to clean the most stubborn and troublesome spills and stains are the reason they have become the first choice wipe for the nation’s builders and tradesmen. Effortlessly cleaning hands, tools and surfaces of sealant and adhesive as well as wet and semi-cured paint, bitumen, expanding foam, oil, grease and much more, Wonder Wipes are the perfect cleaning wipe to have when no water is available on site. Wonder Wipes contain a powerful antibacterial additive, that is tested by an independent laboratory to BSEN 1276:2009 to kill bacteria on dirty surfaces and hands making them active against most common bacteria found in the home and workplace. at the Festival of Remembrance, which takes place in the presence of the Royal Family. Tickets for the event have sold out but it will be broadcast on BBC One. Mr Warren
said of AMES restructures sales force
Following the acquisitions of Kelkay, La Hacienda and Anchor Fast, AMES UK has streamlined operations and created a new sales structure designed to support the planned growth strategy for the business.
The acquisitions have resulted in “an overlapping
network of sales representatives” said AMES UK group sales director Richard Pyrah, adding that a single unified sales team dedicated to garden centres had been created in order to streamline the organisation and ensure efficient and effective communications. The 22-strong team will represent all the brands –
Kelkay, including Easy Fountain and Borderstone, as well as La Hacienda and Woodshaw – providing a single point of contact for all garden centres. Mr Pyrah said: “At AMES UK, we have some ambitious plans for the future, including the
introduction of several new major categories. The creation of a single garden centre sales agency team is going to be critical for efficient communications and will ensure we continue to provide an excellent service to our customers.” He also announced the promotion of Al Sheppard to sales director with responsibility for developing the garden centre channel for all the AMES UK businesses and the recent appointment of Scott McCabe who has also joined the garden centre team. Mr Pyrah added: “Al has been driving garden
centre sales alongside me for the last three years, and with over 30 years of experience in the industry, he brings a wealth of expertise to our growing business.”
Homebase appoints Ian Topping as chairman his
nomination: “I am extremely proud and overwhelmed. I think it is about 30 years since Bromsgrove was last invited to take part in this prestigious and hugely important commemorative event.” Mr Warren has been a
Standard Bearer at Bromsgrove’s Remembrance Sunday parade for over 25 years. He will return to Bromsgrove following the evening performance in London, to take part in this years’ Bromsgrove parade on Sunday, November 11.
Homebase has appointed Ian Topping as part-time non- executive chairman to support its management team. Mr Topping joins Homebase from entertainment retailer HMV,
where he was chief executive for five years and oversaw its return to profitability after the company was acquired from administration by Hilco Capital. Before his time at HMV, Ian was chief executive of Steinhoff UK, following its acquisition of Relyon Group PLC in 2001, where he was chief executive until 2012.
Homebase CEO Damian McGloughlin said: “We are delighted to welcome Ian to the Homebase team and we look forward to working closely with him as we work to deliver our
turnaround plan. Ian’s
experience and knowledge of the retail landscape will be an enormous asset as we continue to reinvigorate the Homebase proposition
and return the
company to profitability.” Ian Topping said of his new
role: “The challenges Homebase has faced in recent years have been well documented, however, it continues to have a unique market position, and there is huge potential for the business to return to a position of strength. I am excited to be playing a part in this, and I am proud to be a part of this great business.”
