Stax appoints new sales representative
Gardening and DIY wholesaler Stax Trade Centres has revealed details of another appointment which will see Mark Hallows take on the role of area sales representative covering the north west region. This is the third appointment in recent months as the Stax sales team continues its growth.
In addition to expertise gained as a sales executive at Humbrol and Minky, Mr Hallows has spent some 25 years working for Stax. During this time his various roles have seen him working closely with DIY and tool retailers, a solid foundation from which he can help to maximise Stax business growth in the north west.
Commenting on his new role, Mark Hallows said: “Working out of our Manchester branch, I’ll be supporting existing customers to grow their sales, and targeting new business opportunities,” he said. “It’s a great role and I’m looking forward to presenting the benefits of partnering with Stax to a wider audience of independent retailers.”

Wyevale nurseries recruits new sales trainee
Harriet Andrews from May Hill in Gloucestershire has recently joined Wyevale nurseries as a sales trainee. Nineteen-year-old Harriet is currently
developing her knowledge of the stock at Wyevale Nurseries and is working on
sales related tasks within the cash and carry team, said the company.
Ms Andrews said: “I am delighted to have joined Wyevale Nurseries as a sales

trainee. I know I have a lot to learn and I’m very eager and excited about this opportunity.
“Prior to my role at Wyevale Nurseries, I worked at Fleurie Nursery in Chichester as a stock control and sales support assistant. I also attended Pershore College and gained a Level 3 extended diploma in Horticulture.” In her spare time, Ms Andrews enjoys horse riding and being out and about in the countryside.

Squire’s partners with Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care
Squire’s Garden Centres has announced it is partnering with Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care for its Open Gardens season 2019. This is an important fundraising event for the charity the company has said, which supports 250 patients, carers and their families every day in their own homes, at the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham, and at the Beacon Centre in Guildford. Sarah Squire, chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres explained: “This is a lovely opportunity to share your enjoyment of your own garden with like- minded visitors.”
