8. Winter ready with Jefferson Tools

The Jefferson Tools generator and water pump ranges provide trade customers with a complete winter resilience toolkit; backup

9. Navien and Passiv UK create heat pump smart control Navien and Passiv UK have partnered to create an integrated heat pump and smart control offering to homeowners and tenants across the UK.

Customers can now install the Passiv Smart Thermostat with Navien’s PEM750 air source heat pump.

The Passiv Smart Thermostat intelligently adjusts flow temperatures and automatically takes advantage of smart tariffs and excess solar generation to reduce heating costs. Its smart heating feature, ecoHeat, can improve heat pump efficiency by 17% and can reduce heating bills by up to 30%.

power when the grid fails and drainage capacity when water ingress occurs. The Olympus petrol generator line is anchored by the 7.9kVA model, which delivers up to 6.3kW from a 25-litre tank with around 10 hours’ runtime. For higher-capacity and longer-duration standby, the 6.3kVA/5.0kW diesel generator adds a noise-reducing canopy, a remote start and a digital SmartGen controller, as well as an optional ATS unit, which switches to backup power when the mains supply fails.

works with Navien heat pumps out-of-the-box, requiring no additional hardware. Installers can now avoid the complexity of setting static weather compensation curves, while end customers avoid the headache of trying to optimise heating and hot water schedules to time-of-use tariffs and solar generation. www.passivuk.com

10. Baxi introduces high output heat pump series Baxi has strengthened its commercial low-carbon heating portfolio with the launch of new higher-output Auriga HP+ reversible ASHPs, designed to support heating, cooling and domestic hot water generation from a single platform.

Baxi’s expanded Auriga HP+ range is available in two versions. The Auriga HP+ high-output model provides high performance across the full 50kW to 170kW capacity range, making it perfect for applications where high standards of comfort and control are required. The Auriga HP+ ES (55-170 kW outputs) adds EC inverter axial fans that deliver high airflow at reduced speeds, enhancing performance and reducing sound levels by 8 dB(A). This makes it particularly well suited to noise-sensitive environments. www.baxi.co.uk/hpplus

12. Ledlenser’s H-Series Ledlenser has launched the redesigned H-Series of professional headtorches. Every H model pairs a separate torch head and power source, a signature Ledlenser design choice that shifts weight to the rear of the head for balanced, fatigue- free wear while allowing higher output and longer runtimes than an all-in-one unit.

The torch features an Adaptive Light Beam feature, sensor technology 10x more sensitive than the previous generation and an enhanced Digital Advanced Focus System.

Available in Single-lens (H5R, H7R, H15R), Multi-lens (H9R, H19R, H21R) and H-Pro, with an extended scope of helmet mounts, adapters, adhesive pads and fixing clips for hard-hat use. www.ledlenser.co.uk

13. Freezing up for sales opportunities

Pipe Freeze by Arctic Hayes has long saved plumbers and installers time when it comes to drain down by creating a temporary, solid ice plug within a pipe so users can isolate sections of the system without the need to drain it. The ice plug can also withstand pressure, allowing plumbers to work on the pipes without disruption and the risk of thawing and leaks.

The latest offering from Pipe freeze; The Smart Pipe Freeze Clamp, is a next-level solution for isolating pipework on live systems.

Using an interactive iOS/ Android app connected via Bluetooth, it provides real- time temperature monitoring, visual countdowns and alerts throughout the freeze cycle, allowing installers to see precisely when an ice plug has formed and when it begins to thaw. The system provides audible and visual confirmation when a solid ice plug has been achieved, ensuring it is safe to begin work, and it alerts users if the freeze begins to weaken and additional refrigerant is required. Using a Y-piece connection, users can also operate two clamps simultaneously, allowing sections of pipework to be isolated with greater control. For merchants, Arctic Hayes are supporting the launch with training materials and digital training content to help merchants demonstrate the tangible difference the product can make - and how to operate safer, cleaner and faster with the very latest in technologically advanced kit.
