Healthier cooking, at-home entertaining and smart technology are also continuing to influence buying habits, while retailers are being encouraged to focus on engaging displays and clear messaging to help products stand out. Bluestem Group says the small domestic appliances category continues to perform strongly, with consumers increasingly looking for products that combine convenience, functionality and design-led appeal. “Small domestic appliances continue to be a strong seller for us,” the company explains. “Smart connectivity is a growing trend, with consumers interested in products that can be controlled remotely or via voice assistant.”

The company highlights the Igenix 28L Digital Combination Microwave as an example, combining microwave, grill, roasting and air frying functionality within a single appliance.
