Smart buildings and the cyber attack risk


A


s buildings become more connected, they also become more vulnerable to cyber attacks with HVAC systems potential becoming a weak link.


It’s an issue that has grown into a serious concern over the past


decade as more of society moves online using cloud services, IoT devices and remote working systems. Remote working by HVAC engineers and technicians is essential to keep buildings working seamlessly but this could also be a way in for cyber attackers. We’ve put this subject in the spotlight in this issue on our feature on
