Clivet strengthens service division with new appointment

C livet Group UK has

welcomed Laith Al Baghdadi to the company’s growing

service division.

A graduate of the University of Portsmouth with a background in Human Geography, alongside studies at the University of Malta, Laith brings valuable experience across engineering support, logistics coordination, and customer service. Previous roles within major insurance organisations and public sector contractors have equipped him with strong organisational, communication, and problem- solving skills.

As Clivet continues to expand across the UK HVAC and heat

pump market, the company remains firmly committed to delivering outstanding aftersales service and technical support. Investment into the service division reflects the importance Clivet places on supporting customers and installers throughout every stage of a project — from commissioning and technical assistance through to ongoing customer care.

Laith’s appointment further strengthens the team as Clivet continues to invest in both people and support infrastructure to meet growing demand across the industry.

The Clivet team extends a warm welcome to Laith, who is already proving to be a fantastic addition to the team. www.clivetgroup.co.uk

NIBE to supply heat pump systems for Pye Homes at Welborne Garden Village

IBE Energy Systems Limited is supporting the delivery of future- ready homes at Welborne Garden Village by supplying ground source heat pump systems for properties built by Pye Homes in the fi rst phase of the landmark Hampshire development. The homes are

served by a shared ground loop ambient heat network, enabling highly effi cient, low-carbon heating and hot water.

The installation forms part of Welborne’s forward-thinking energy strategy, which uses a shared ground loop ambient network to distribute low-grade renewable heat sourced locally. NIBE ground source heat pumps installed within each home upgrade this energy to provide heating and hot water, delivering effi cient comfort while supporting long-term carbon reduction and energy performance goals.

Welborne’s ambient network infrastructure allows multiple homes to share a renewable heat source, reducing overall energy demand while improving system effi ciency. In warmer months, the system can also support passive cooling, helping maintain indoor comfort as temperatures rise.

Paul Smith, managing director of NIBE Energy Systems (UK), said: “By combining a shared ground loop network with NIBE ground source heat pump technology, these homes benefi t from effi cient, reliable heating and hot water while supporting the future direction of low-carbon housing.” Danielle Simpson, sales director, Pye Homes added: “Working with NIBE allows us to integrate proven, energy-effi cient heating technology into our homes, supporting comfort for residents while aligning with the future direction of housing and energy performance.” www.nibe.eu/

Hybrid system delivers effi cient, lower carbon heating at Doncaster primary school

A

hybrid commercial heating system from Ideal Commercial Heating, featuring ECOMOD heat pumps and Evomax 2 boilers, has been installed at Hawthorn Primary School in Cantley, Doncaster, providing a reliable, lower-carbon solution designed to improve comfort and effi ciency across the site’s multiple buildings. Hawthorn Primary School is a co-educational primary academy with a campus comprising several buildings of varying ages and construction types, creating challenges for consistent temperature control and system performance. The existing heating infrastructure, which consisted of two ageing open-fl ued boilers alongside undersized pipework, had struggled to meet demand effi ciently.

To address these issues, long-standing Ideal Commercial Heating customer Service 2 (HVAC) Limited was appointed to design and install a new system capable of delivering dependable year-round performance while reducing carbon emissions. The completed installation is a hybrid system combining two 50kW ECOMOD 290HT air source heat pumps with three wall-mounted Evomax 2 150kW commercial condensing boilers operating in cascade providing 450kW of output.

The heat pumps are located externally adjacent to the plant room and feed

buff er vessels, while the Evomax 2 boilers are installed internally on an Ideal Heating frame and header kit with pre-formed insulation kits and a plate heat exchanger to ensure separation between the primary and secondary circuits. This confi guration allows the heat pumps to satisfy the majority of the school’s heating and hot water demand throughout milder seasons, with the boilers automatically providing support during periods of lower external temperatures. www.idealcommercialheating.co.uk.

Trianco’s Activair indoor heat pumps are installed in housing association properties in Argyll

H

eat pump specialist, Trianco, has supplied Activair indoor air source heat pumps for a £100,000 development programme in Scotland in partnership with principal contractor, the Procast Group.

It is hoped that the new installations, which are far more compact than a typical air source heat pump, which sits outside of a property, should improve energy effi ciency, provide tenants with savings and lead to better insulated homes, as well as being better for the planet. These heat pumps fi t into the kitchen just like an additional boiler would.

Peter Beighton, managing director of Trianco said: “Our innovative Activair Indoor Heat Pumps are ideal for apartments and properties without the space outside for a traditional heat pump or where planning rules would restrict an outdoor unit. The heat pump is connected to outside with two air ducts, one to draw air in and the other to expel the air. This project is exciting for us and will hopefully lead to further projects with Procast”. The Activair units are available in 5 or 7kw outputs and can be purchased as a solo heat pump (which can be connected to a third party cylinder for hot water) or as either a vertical or horizontal confi guration with combined heat pump and domestic hot water cylinder. There are also fl exible ducting options using either rectangular or circular ducting which can be connected to either the left, right or rear of the heat pump. https://trianco.co.uk/
