Show preview

HVACR Live – Internationally key

HVAC & Refrigeration Live (HVACR Live), the UK’s only dedicated national exhibition for the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration sectors will take place from 18 to 19 April 2023 at London Excel. A key part of the show will be the seminar theatres which will have speakers focusing on the hot topics of the day

H

VACR is gaining momentum as we approach the end of 2022 with familiar names signing up such as Toshiba, Danfoss, Humidity

Solutions, Diversitech and Fieldpiece Instruments. International interest in HVACR Live has been

front and centre since the show opened to exhibitors in the late summer. This is not a surprise given the UK’s exit from the EU and the inherent simplification of trade deals that comes with that. Taking Turkey as a key example, HVACR Live has seen sign ups from a number of companies offering products such as Ottocool showing insulated copper pipes and heat exchangers from Gemak and refrigeration components from GVN. This presence is further supported by the Air Conditioning Industry Exporters Association Turkey (ISIB). Event manager Tony Patman said: “The international appetite for HVACR Live is incredible and I can only think that it’s due to the UK leaving the EU. In part because of companies seeking better trade deals of course, but also because there seem to be a lot less UK visitors at the European shows. Whatever the motivation, HVACR Live is certainly proving to be the place for those exhibitors to meet the UK market face to face.” The most recent major trade association to sign up as an exhibitor is BESA, who will join other key organisations such as the Institute of Refrigeration and Eurovent. Joining these will be organisations from throughout the HVACR sectors who will be contributing to the Conference which lies at the heart of the show. Expertise will be shared by

CIBSE, the Cold Chain Federation, CIPHE and more. The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea will have a representative whose expertise lies in the field of planning and environment. All sessions include Q&A elements which means that this event is your chance to ask the burning questions that affect you in your workplace. While nothing will ever replace the kinetic and social benefits of good trade shows, even they are becoming digitised at least in part and HVACR Live 2023 is no different. In the run up to the show in April, we are working hard to build a companion app for exhibitors and visitors which will have a full timetable of all the presentations, talks and seminars that will be taking place and where to find them. These questions and more will be addressed within the seminar program at HVACR Live. Added features will include: a map of the

2023

ACR News Awards being held on the evening of 19 April, showcasing the best and brightest within the air conditioning and refrigeration sectors. If you think that you have a product, person or service worth shouting about, then make sure they are entered for an ACR News Award. Managing editor Lynn Sencicle said: “If you enter

exhibition hall with labelled stalls, amenities, networking area and stage areas to make it easy to find everywhere you could want to visit. To go alongside this, there will be a comprehensive list of exhibitors with their logos and stall numbers and much more. HVACR Live will culminate with the prestigious

the Awards you might just win something but if you don’t, then you never will – and it costs nothing except a few moments to fill in the online form. It’s always a great evening and we look forward to welcoming the industry once again in April.” Entries are currently open for the Awards with an

extended deadline of 30 January. To exhibit please contact Tony Patman
