Zehnder launches new UK ventilation system finder as demand for healthier, energy-efficient homes grows

I

ndoor climate specialist Zehnder Group UK has launched a new free ventilation system selector tool to help people identify the most suitable ventilation solution for their property. The new interactive tool is the ideal first step for homeowners, installers and developers navigating the UK’s evolving ventilation requirements.

Selecting an effective ventilation solution

can be challenging, particularly as UK homes become increasingly airtight to meet energy-efficiency targets. Zehnder’s new digital system finder streamlines the decision-making process by guiding users towards finding the right solution for their property’s airflow needs, heat recovery potential and overall comfort goals.

The ventilation system finder provides tailored recommendations within minutes, based on energy efficiency requirements, comfort expectations and property design. Users also receive an initial indication of cost, helping to simplify early planning and reduce uncertainty in a fast-evolving ventilation market.

The guidance streamlines the selection process by offering an accessible online portal for anyone exploring ventilation upgrades or system options that match their property needs.

Rupert Kazlauciunas, technical product manager for ventilation at Zehnder Group UK said: “The Zehnder ventilation system selector will help remove some of the guesswork and arm people with a level of knowledge from the outset. For homeowners, it provides them with understanding and product options that they can discuss with their architect or contractor. And for specifiers and installers, it helps identify the best option based on the spec of the property. We hope that it will encourage better communication and recommendations.” zehnder.co.uk/mvhr-selection-tool

Clivet expands the EDGE PRO family: introducing the new EDGE PRO L

C

livet’s new EDGE PRO L, is a monobloc air/water heat pump designed for centralised residential and light commercial applications. This solution provides heating, cooling and domestic hot water in a natural and continuous way, even in larger buildings, thanks to technology that combines performance and ease of use. At the heart of the new EDGE PRO L is the scroll compressor with EVI technology, designed to offer efficiency and stability in all weather conditions: from the most intense cold to the scorching heat. This guarantees maximum performance, with a SCOP that can reach 4.95 at 35°C and 3.84 at 55°C.

The new 25 and 30 kW sizes maintain the ALTODesign of the EDGE PRO family, which has won international awards.

Like all solutions in the range, EDGE PRO L is part of the complete Clivet Smart Living system and is compatible with CONTROL4 NRG. System management is simple and immediate thanks to the colour graphic interface and integrated Wi-Fi connection, which allows all functions to be controlled via the Clivet EYE app.

EDGE PRO L adapts easily to different contexts. Its modularity allows up to six units to be connected hydraulically in parallel, reaching a total power capacity up to 180 kW, while maintaining a small footprint.

The choice of the natural refrigerant R-290, with a GWP close to zero, reflects Clivet’s commitment to sustainable solutions that are fully compliant with European F-Gas regulations. www.clivet.com

Hamworthy Heating expands Tyneham heat pump range with new 65kW model

H

amworthy Heating has added a new 65kW model to its successful Tyneham 290HT commercial heat pump range. This new model increases the range’s heating capacity to meet the growing demand for higher output systems

while maintaining its commitment to energy efficiency and a reduced carbon footprint.

Now available in six outputs from 15kW to 65kW, the Tyneham 290HT range is designed to provide reliable and efficient heating across a variety of commercial settings, including schools, offices and leisure facilities. Using natural refrigerant, the Tyneham 290HT can achieve higher flow temperatures, whilst benefiting from a low global warming potential (GWP) of just 3. Highly efficient with a coefficient of performance (COP) rating of up to 4.94, the range also features an inverter-controlled compressor, which adjusts the building temperature according to specific requirements, further enhancing its performance and efficiency.

Offering a flexible solution, units can be cascaded to achieve higher outputs, catering to larger buildings or facilities. Furthermore, the Tyneham 290 can be integrated with other Hamworthy Heating products to create a hybrid heating system, offering even greater energy efficiency and supporting efforts to lower carbon footprints. Quiet in operation, with noise levels as low as 64db(A), the Tyneham 290 range is also an excellent choice for commercial buildings where noise control is a consideration. As part of its commitment to supporting customers in their transition to low-carbon heating and heat pump technology, Hamworthy has also recently launched a new Commercial Air Source Heat Pump Training Course. www.hamworthy-heating.com

Kooltech launches KS1- BR41N Heating and Hot Water Control Without a BMS

K

ooltech has launched the KS1-BR41N, a new addition to its K-con bespoke solutions range. Also known as K-BRAIN, this innovative, self- contained control solution simplifies operation of the Mitsubishi Electric CAHV-R air source heat pump for managing both heating and domestic hot water (DHW) demands.

Developed by Kooltech’s in-house experts, this cost-effective device removes the requirement for complex, expensive Building Management System (BMS) integration. The panel allows the user to set the DHW temperature and the flow heating temperature. A 3-port valve is controlled to enable the system to enter defrost mode with flow returned to the heating buffer, even if there is a DHW demand; once defrost mode is over, the system reverts to achieving the set point. The KS1-BR41N unit minimises on-site complexity and installation time. Its dedicated functionality makes the CAHV-R heat pump system suitable for a wider range of budget-conscious projects. It serves as the ideal control for smaller commercial applications such as care homes, schools, and small hotels, where a full BMS is costly and unnecessary.

The KS1-BR41N provides contractors and specifiers with the key benefit of single-source accountability. By choosing this K-con bespoke solution, you can work solely with Kooltech for the heat pump system, components, and control package, streamlining procurement and eliminating the need to coordinate multiple suppliers.

The pre-engineered control platform ensures the CAHV-R prioritises DHW

production when needed and then smoothly reverts to space heating, all without custom programming.

The Kooltech K-con KS1-BR41N is now available exclusively through Kooltech. www.kooltech.co.uk
