Domino reports significant progress on net-zero journey in
2025 CSR Report Domino Printing Sciences (Domino) has published its FY 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report, highlighting measurable progress across environmental performance, responsible business practices, people development and customer support. The report demonstrates how Domino is embedding sustainability across its operations while helping customers achieve their own environmental and business goals. The report details progress across four core areas:
• Environmental: reducing emissions, increasing renewable energy use and improving circularity.
• People: creating an inclusive culture that develops talent, supports wellbeing and invests in future leaders.
• Society: supporting local communities and delivering positive social impact. • Customers: helping organisations meet productivity and sustainability objectives through innovative coding and marking and digital printing solutions. The report outlines how Domino continues to develop more sustainable solutions that help customers reduce waste, improve manufacturing effi ciency, minimise material consumption and support their own sustainability targets. Key highlights from the FY 2025 report include:
• Increased solar energy generation to 70 per cent as more Domino facilities switched to 100 per cent renewable electricity
• Reached a 95.3 per cent internal recycling rate, minimising waste and maximising resource recovery
• Increased packaging sustainability, with 96 per cent of customer packaging now recyclable and incorporating up to 75 per cent recycled materials.

UK packaging leaders discuss DRS readiness as 2027
countdown gathers pace With little more than a year until the UK’s Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) goes live, organisations at the heart of its delivery came together at London Packaging Week to discuss industry readiness and work to be done before October 2027. The session, brought together Julian Hunt, industry-nominated non-executive
director at Exchange for Change; Andy Bagnall, director general of the British Soft Drinks Association; Ellena Andrews, senior corporate aff airs & circular economy policy executive at the Food and Drink Federation; Naomi Brandon-Bravo, sustainability policy adviser at the British Retail Consortium; and Tom Fiennes, sustainability director at Carlsberg Britvic.
The 45-minute discussion focused on the
practical reality of delivering DRS. The panel discussed current levels of readiness across the system, work that will happen over the next 12 months and consider what success should look like during the scheme’s fi rst year of operation. From 1 October 2027, consumers will pay a 20p deposit when purchasing
drinks in eligible cans and plastic bottles, reclaiming it when the empty container is returned.
