C&T Matrix’s ClearTech XPro rubber cutter/plotter machine
In 2022, C&T Channel Matrix (C&T) acquired Clear Group, strengthening its leadership position in die consumables and off ering customers multiple benefits in terms of product sourcing. As a result of the acquisition, C&T added the ClearTech XPro rubber cutter/plotter machine to its portfolio of machinery for the die-making industry.
S
ince then, the machine has proved very popular with recent installations at Die-namic Formes based in Bradford, S&W Cutting Formes of Nottingham, and MCG Steel Rule Dies in California, to name a few. The ClearTech XPRO is a 3-in-1 machine that utilises the latest technology to produce high-specification products. It can produce pen plot drawings and create samples for
both solid carton and cardboard substrates. It can also cut rubber pieces from 1mm thick to 13mm thick to suit all dies for flatbed and rotary segments. It is also compatible with all trade software.
The ClearTech XPRO has a powerful vacuum pump system. This system, combined with zoned control of where the vacuum is applied on the table surface, produces a strong and positive holding force for any substrate being used. This results in an accurate drawing/cut that matches the CAD file output.
The XPRO has a multi-functional head with a pen, creasing wheel, drag knife and oscillating knife feature, as well as a laser pointer and on/ off light function.
Manufacturers can draw on drafting films to create layouts and produce patch-up sheets using standard papers. It can also pen plot using standard Fisher Space pen refills. Perfect for sample making: With drag knife and oscillating knife options, manufacturers can design and cut all sample types in solid carton and corrugated boards. The creasing wheel feature produces the ideal folding line, which is perfect for all designs. With full control of the Z-axis from the touchscreen control panel, you can alter the pressure on the creasing wheel to suit your needs.
