Industry News CON-JUL21-EMERSON QUARTER:CON-JUL21-EMERSON QUARTER 18 Editor’s Comment
Happy New Year and welcome back to Converter. As always January is the time to set goals for the year and in 2026 one of my key goals is to continue developing this magazine to be the best it can for you, the reader.
And the year is getting off to
a strong start, as we’ll be visiting Packaging innovations and Empack next month, so if you see me there please do stop me and have a chat. I think one of my favourite things I’ve found so far at shows, alongside meeting readers and contributors and being able to chat face to face, is learning what developments and trends are being made and discussed in the industry, and then hopefully being able to put them on these pages. As I’m sure you’ll know PPWR enforcement is fast approaching and so we’ve
spoken to Bisi Owojaiye, business development specialist at Epopack (page 8) about the impact of the regulations and how you can adjust to meet them. Other features in this issue also focus on what can be expected in 2026 and
looking at how businesses can be more sustainable. I hope you enjoy the fi rst magazine of the year!

sjones@datateam.co.uk LT Print Group celebrates major
long-service milestone The Wirral-based litho and digital printing company, celebrated a major milestone in December, as operations director Keith Goodridge marked 40 years with the company. Keith began his print career in Liverpool, working as an apprentice printer
for the West Africa Shipping Company in 1970, supplying manifests and documentation for the port during its peak trading years. After the business became part of Unilever, he remained within the operation as it supported commercial print requirements across the UK and Europe, before restructuring led him to seek a new opportunity. It was then that Keith applied for a production manager role at InstaPrint, a small Hamilton Street print business with six employees and ambitions to grow. Bringing his experience, discipline and understanding of large scale
production, Keith played a key role in helping InstaPrint transition into an expanding commercial print provider. He helped integrate clients and staff from the former Unilever print division and supported the acquisition of three additional print companies, forming the foundation of what would later become LT Print Group. Over four decades, he has overseen the introduction of CMYK technology, expansion into digital print, development of the fi nishing department and major operational improvements that allowed LT Print to compete with larger companies while keeping its commitment to quality at the centre of everything it does.
