Industry News Editor’s Comment

Welcome to the April issue of Converter Sadly, this issue of Converter will be my last, as I move into a diff erent industry entirely and further my editorial career. Having worked on the past thirteen issues of the magazine, I can happily say that every moment has been full of joy and learning. I must say a massive thank you to the people of the industry, including those in PR and marketing, engineers and distributors themselves, for the warm and friendly treatment that I have received during my time on the magazine. Everyone I have spoken to has been so helpful and has taught me an enormous amount about the industry itself. I look forward to seeing Converter continue to grow from strength to strength! In our April issue, we are delving into a number of features including Cutting Systems, Digital Printing, Film and Foil, Labelling Solutions, Software and Controls, and Web Tension and Guiding. I do hope you fi nd this issue informative and interesting!

James Cropper redefines possibilities of packaging with Nathan Ward collaboration

James Cropper, a global market leader in Paper & Packaging and Advanced Materials, has partnered with artist Nathan Ward to craft a stunning fusion of art and material innovation titled Message in a Wrap. The groundbreaking project resulted in the creation of a stunning 3D diorama made entirely with Moulded Fibre and paper. The collaboration was inspired by James Cropper’s 180-year legacy of craftsmanship and bespoke packaging innovations, highlighting its recent partnership with premium whisky distillery Bruichladdich on an award-winning Moulded Fibre wrap for its Luxury Re/defi ned range. As a result, the project celebrates the synergy between James Cropper and its customers by depicting Bruichladdich’s Isle of Islay-based distillery side-by-side with James Cropper’s historic Burneside mill.
