NEWS | Industry Updates EVEX 2026 heads to Vienna

The EVA has announced that registrations are now open for EVEX 2026 – the European Vending Experience – which is set to take place in the historical city of Vienna, Austria, from 13-15 October at the Parkhotel Schönbrunn. Since 2015, EVEX has grown into one of the industry’s most anticipated annual gatherings, combining cutting-edge innovation, thought leadership, and powerful networking in Europe’s most vibrant destinations. Following a highly successful edition last year in Croatia, the EVA is collaborating this time with the Austrian Vending Association (OVV) to deliver the leading European event for decision makers in the vending and coffee service industry.

Set over two and a half days, EVEX 2026 offers participants a unique combination of high-level content, industry insights and meaningful connections. The elegant Parkhotel Schönbrunn, located next to the iconic Schönbrunn Palace, provides an exceptional setting for the event. As a key and well connected city in central Europe, the choice of Vienna furthermore opens up the event not only to local players and the wider German-speaking region, but is easily accessible to Eastern European and Balkan companies. With the programme currently being finalised, the visibility and sponsorship packages are rapidly filling up. After kicking off with the welcome cocktail and dinner on Tuesday 13 October, the following days will enable attendees to explore the trade show, learn and engage on various topics during a number of insightful conferences and interactive workshops, all while social and networking activites continue throughout the event. One of which is a guided cultural tour exploring Vienna’s rich coffee culture which will no doubt provide an enjoyable atmosphere for debate and networking. The full programme of the event, the current list of sponsors, as well as the webpage to register for EVEX can be found here or via: www.vending-europe.eu/EVEX For companies interested in maximising their visibility during the event, a limited number of sponsoring opportunities are still currently available. Participants are encouraged to register and book their hotel room via the confirmation link received upon registration as soon as possible to secure their accommodation. Please note that the cut-off date is 30 June. Contact Julie Barth at jb@vending- europe.eu to secure your spot. Whether you are looking to expand your network, showcase your solutions or stay ahead of industry trends, EVEX 2026 is the place to be. We look forward to seeing you in Vienna.

365 Retail Markets completes acquisition of Cantaloupe to expand technology capabilities and customer value

365 Retail Markets, an innovator in unattended retail technologies,

has announced that it has completed its acquisition of Cantaloupe, Inc, a global technology specialist offering end-to-end technology solutions for self-service commerce. With the transaction complete, the combined business will

operate under 365 Retail Markets, bringing together Cantaloupe’s payments, telemetry and global device network with 365’s self- checkout, smart store and software systems. These capabilities expand the range of environments 365 can serve, from traditional vending and food service operations to newer locations such as hospitality, entertainment venues and transit hubs. The combination also allows operators to run more efficiently by enabling the tools that best support their business objectives, and in turn deliver a more seamless experience for consumers. “We are thrilled to have completed the acquisition of Cantaloupe,”

said Joe Hessling, founder and chief executive of 365. “The addition of their great products and welcoming both Scott Stewart and Jeffrey Dumbrell to the Executive Team will certainly go a long way to onboard nearly 40,000 new customers and introduce them to the

365 suite of products and services. The retail environment is shifting worldwide to a more convenient, safe and connected consumer experience. 365 is leading that shift and will be positioned to better serve consumers with this deal.” “Integrating with 365 is an important next step to help our customers maximize the value and reach of available technology solutions,” said Jeffrey Dumbrell, chief revenue officer at Cantaloupe. “As the demand for micro-retail in nontraditional sectors like hospitality and warehouses becomes stronger, we anticipate that the expanded capabilities enabled through this combination will allow for highly customised, readily available retail that benefits consumers by meeting them where they need it. We are grateful for our customers and stakeholders who have helped us reach this milestone, and we are excited to meet the next wave of unattended retail innovators in this new chapter.”
