Members and guests of the Vending and Automated Retail Association (AVA) gathered to celebrate as the year came to an end at a Christmas dinner and party held at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London on December 8. About 230 guests enjoyed an afternoon of

entertainment by the London Caberet Club before heading off for an after party and cocktails at the nearby Cocktail Club. As part of the event, a substantial sum was

raised for Prostate Cancer UK. The trade body also took the opportunity to bid

farewell to retiring membership services manager, Steve Collins who leaves the AVA after 23 years. He was presented with a special weekend away at a country house hotel, with 15 course tasting menu, 2 Michelin star cooking experience, gin and wine tasting for him and his wife Jenny. Chief executive to the AVA, David Llewellyn,

said: “A good time was had by all. Feedback has been excellent – it was a great venue and entertainment. Twice as many people than usual went on to the after party which is perhaps an indication of how much they enjoyed it.”
