Hoover’s Cook Along with Simon Rimmer to fund more than 7,000 meals for children’s charity
L
eading domestic appliance manufacturer,
Hoover, has raised £2,500 for the charity Magic Breakfast through a virtual Cook Along with Hoover’s cooking ambassador, British cook and restaurateur, Simon Rimmer. The charity aims to end hunger
as a barrier to education in UK schools through the provision of healthy breakfasts to vulnerable children and the money raised will fund thousands of meals. During the virtual cook along, hosted on Zoom last Saturday (5th
September 2020), Simon demonstrated how to cook Huevos Rancheros, a spicy Mexican breakfast. He provided step-by-step guidance in real time to help participants with everything from prepping the ingredients to serving the meal. Antony Peart, brand and communications director from Hoover, said:
“We are absolutely delighted that our virtual cook along with Simon was a success and that we’re able to make such a significant donation to Magic Breakfast, a charity which Hoover couldn’t be more proud to support. “Along with Simon, we are passionate in our belief that no child should
start the day hungry and we hope that this donation goes some way to making sure that doesn’t happen.” Alex Cunningham, CEO of Magic Breakfast, said: “This donation will help
us provide over 7,000 meals and wrap-around support for children which is fantastic.
“Child hunger and food insecurity are issues that affect an increasing number of families in the UK in light of the pandemic, so we want to take this opportunity to thank both Hoover and Simon for their fundraising efforts. We are incredibly grateful, and their support will make a huge difference to so many children.”

over 65m customers per year, many of whom simply browse the store to see the best new products available. The elevator wraps drive home Roidmi’s stye and design message and will create a huge market awareness for the benefits of all Roidmi retailers.” The Roidmi range is being expanded in October with a new flagship model, the RS60, which adds OLED display, second generation antibacterial water tank for the mop function and ZiWei licensed silver-ion sterilisation system in the vacuum. The latter offers four stage sterilisation, from the roller to the final stage filter, proven to help kill bacteria and restrict virus replication in the exhaust air released back into the room. “Roidmi has partnered with Toagosei and Toray in
Japan to create a unique quadruple sterilization system, leveraging the power of silver-ion nano particle technology,” adds Geoff. “While the technology is actually rocket-science, the result is simply the cleanest exhaust air of any vacuum at microbe level. The RS60’s ability to kill bacteria and viruses sets a new standard in room-air cleanliness post vacuuming.”
