Scolmore invests in dedicated focus for Elucian range
F
ollowing signifi cant,
continued success for Scolmore’s Elucian range since it entered the consumer unit market in 2021, the group is investing in a dedicated focus for the category and
has appointed Dan Ellams as the Elucian national sales manager.
Dan will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment of a newly formed external sales team, with a view to building on and developing Elucian’s sales growth business strategy. Dan brings 18 years’ experience within the electrical industry to the role, having begun his career as a qualifi ed electrician. He then transitioned into sales with a leading electrical wholesaler, where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the market. This was followed by a move into manufacturing, spending a large proportion of this period working within the switchgear market and developing a passion for this particular aspect of the industry.
Baxi opens doors to new Solutions Academy B
axi welcomed a number of key industry stakeholders to its new Solutions Academy, located at its Warwick headquarters, as the company continues to showcase its eff orts to address the installer skills gap. Following the opening of the state-of-the-art training facility, the company invited a number of industry representatives to see fi rst-hand where investment into skills and training is making a diff erence.
Guests included representatives from Department of Energy Security and Net Zero, MCS and Chartered Institute of Housing, all with an agenda to understand how the supply chain can help deliver sustainable heating in buildings over the years ahead.
Aiming to equip heating engineers with the right skills and knowledge to help customers decarbonise heat and hot water, the new 10,000sq ft facility is set to train 2,000 delegates by 2025.
