Dowsing & Reynolds opens Leeds showroom L
ighting manufacturer Dowsing & Reynolds has opened a new, by- appointment showroom at its Leeds headquarters, giving trade professionals a hands-on way to explore its lighting, switches, sockets and hardware collections before specifying them for projects. The showroom has been created to help visitors see and compare fi nishes, assess product quality and make more confi dent design decisions, bringing together a large selection of Dowsing & Reynolds’ design-led collections, including decorative switches and sockets, lighting and hardware. Displays have been styled to show how these details work together in real homes, helping trade professionals and clients create more cohesive schemes. For trade professionals, the appointment-only format off ers time to review products in detail, discuss project requirements with the Dowsing & Reynolds team and experience fi nishes, materials and lighting eff ects in person.
ICER launches recycling electricals industry decarbonisation scheme
T
he Industry Council for Electronic Equipment Recycling (ICER) has launched a comprehensive scheme to help waste electrical recyclers and Producer Compliance Schemes decarbonise their operations. The ICER scheme is specifi c to the electricals recycling industry, and involves a straightforward self-assessment process against 23 criteria covering company policies, logistics and treatment operations. Collectively, the criteria provide a way in which waste electrical recyclers and compliance schemes can get started on the ladder towards carbon reduction, assess the steps they have taken so far and identify the best way forward. The self-assessment process will be verifi ed by Climate Action for Associations (CAFA), an independent third party with acknowledged expertise in carbon accounting.
