Company Profi le Redefi ning home safety

Over the past two years, FireAngel has been evolving steadily and strategically, enhancing its operations and reaffi rming its position as a trusted safety brand.

K

nown for its commitment to life- saving fi re and carbon monoxide (CO) safety products, the company has been strategically enhancing its operations, investing in innovation and aligning itself with global partners to strengthen its position as one of the UK’s most trusted home safety brands.

Here, Nick Rutter, CEO at FireAngel, outlines the journey the business has taken during this period of evolution, including its acquisition by Siterwell, the company’s reinforced commitment to ISO 9001-led quality assurance and how it is preparing to lead the next generation of connected fi re safety solutions.

Shaping the future through strategic unity

In 2024, FireAngel joined the Siterwell family, formalising a long-standing manufacturing relationship that dates back to 2017. The move marks a strategic investment in the company’s long- term growth, off ering enhanced access to global Research & Development (R&D) capabilities, cutting- edge testing facilities and scalable production resources.

Siterwell, based in Ningbo, China, is a high-tech enterprise specialising in intelligent safety systems and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. With over 150 engineers and four research and development

centres across China, Siterwell invests approximately 20% of its annual turnover into R&D. Its facilities include German and UL-certifi ed test tunnels and EMC laboratories, ensuring world-class quality control and compliance with international safety standards.

While global partnerships can prompt questions around continuity and quality assurance, FireAngel

remains fi rmly rooted in its UK operations and values. The company continues to operate as a British business, with in-house teams responsible for research, product development and quality assurance. Every FireAngel product is subjected to rigorous testing and validation to ensure it meets the expectations of UK housing, trade professionals and all end users who rely on its life-saving functionality.

ISO 9001 at the core of quality Central to FireAngel’s operations is its ISO 9001-certifi ed quality management system, a framework that underpins every aspect of product development, manufacturing and customer service. By adhering to the internationally recognised ISO 9001 standard, FireAngel ensures a consistent, structured and continuously improving approach to quality that supports both compliance and innovation.

In-house process audits are regularly conducted as part of ISO 9001 requirements to maintain high performance and identify areas for enhancement. From design and prototyping through to production and delivery, quality is embedded at every stage. This rigorous standard helps FireAngel maintain full traceability across its operations, instilling confi dence in customers and partners alike.
