elcome to the June issue of Electrical Wholesaler! Mental Health Week, led by the Mental Health Foundation to highlight the importance of prioritising good mental health took place at the end of May. Studies have shown that construction workers are more than three times more likely than the general population to die by suicide, and Mental Health Week is a vital reminder that the industry must continue to come together as a community to support and raise each other.
Danny Mouskovias, learning and wellbeing manager at NICEIC, identifi ed some tips for how to build a stronger, healthier community in the electrical industry. • Check in on each other – a quick text or phone call can open the door to a meaningful conversation.
• Look out for the signs – including changes in mood, missed deadlines, irritability or withdrawing from the group, all of which might be a sign that someone is struggling.
• Share your own experiences – being open about
