continued to grow over the last year and ownership reached 13% in 2021, despite COVID-19 causing some initial financial concern. The outlook for the upcoming years is even more positive, with consumers’ confidence in their finances being the strongest since the pandemic and interest in smart security growing significantly from last year (to 48% in 2021 from 41% in 2020). them intending to work from home in the long- term, this should help the overall connected home market. As the pandemic recedes, we are having to
adapt to a new normal and it is highly likely that we will spend more time in our homes than we did before the pandemic, as a result of working from home more than we did pre-COVID. The perennial key drivers for smart home adoption – such as security, convenience and energy saving, will continue to exert their influence.
