Branch Manager Reading


Eyre & Elliston Ltd is one of the largest independent Electrical Wholesalers in the UK and since incorporation over 80 years ago has grown to 61 branches providing the highest standards of local service from Carlisle and Newcastle in the North down to Poole and Brighton on the South coast.


All Branch Managers report to a Regional Director/Manager but have day to day responsibility for all areas of operation of the branch, the key priorities being the successful achievement of sales turnover targets, gross profit targets, trading base development, stock management and expenditure control.


Due to a forthcoming retirement we have an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic leader to join our group.


Previous electrical wholesaling experience is preferred but managerial experience in any similar trade counter operation would be considered.

Our Client, a leading manufacturer of hazardous area lighting solutions are looking for a proven and successful Business Development Manager to cover the Southern half of the UK. The targeted market sectors includes industrial end users such as automotive, aerospace, MOD, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, heavy industry, research & laboratories whilst also developing the project/ specification / wholesaler marketplace. In an area already performing above target, you will receive full product training and you will be given the full support of their in house design and specification team to assist you with technical aspects and full design capabilities.


Our client is a well-established £m/m successful and profitable business offering a quality range of electrical accessories & lighting products to the electrical wholesale sector throughout the UK. As the quality manager you will be responsible for ensuring all products and new products are compliant whilst of the highest quality and developing robust processes and any necessary process improvements to ensure the product range is kept to the highest standard. With the focus on QA for new products and QC on incoming products you will have access to both inhouse and external test facilities. Other responsibilities include devising and establishing the quality procedures, standards and specifications; reviewing customer requirements and making sure they are met; working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers; making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards; defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff; making suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them; using relevant quality tools and making sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business; making sure the Company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors. Working closely with the Project engineer on the region and National sales team, you will be selling the range of quality, competitively priced, user friendly products into the wholesaler channels and supporting their sales effort.
