Extension of the AKG D case series Fischer Elektronik has expanded the attractive and
functional miniature aluminum cases of the AKG D series which are existing in the delivery programme by two new case sizes AKG D 41 20 and AKG D 55 20.
The cases consist of two aluminum profiles, which are fitted precisely against each other and fixed using the screwed-on front plate.
The seals mounted between the cover plates and the profiles not only have the function as a design element, but thanks to their non-slip properties they can be used safely as a bench case.
Guide grooves in the profiles allow the insertion of non-standard printed circuit boards or other components in various sizes as well as 100 mm wide Euro cards.
Nine different sizes of the AKG D cases offer the applicant the option of using them in numerous applications.
The profile sizes of the two new versions are 41.3 mm x 20 mm for the AKG D 41 20 and 55 mm x 20 mm for the AKG D 55 20 on the outside.
The standard lengths for the AKG D cases are 50, 80 and 100 mm and are available in natural color anodized and black anodized surface finishes.
The standard color of the seals is cobalt blue (similar to RAL 5013), but these can also be made in other colors if requested by the customer. The case profiles and the cover panels can also be individually machined and labeled.

plastic offers 5VA flammability rating Excellent performance assured in exposure to automotive fuels and fluids
Chomerics Europe, a division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has launched PREMIER™ PBT-250FR for EMI shielding in automotive applications. This new polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) plastic will come to the assistance of any design engineer seeking a single pellet, electrically conductive, flame retardant material offering high levels of reliability whenever there is potential for fuel exposure or issues surrounding automotive fluid compatibility, thus providing complete peace of mind for the customer and end user.
Of particular note, at 2.5mm thick, the material has been designated 5VA, the highest flammability rating
from UL 94, the Standard for Safety of Flammability of Plastic Materials for Parts in Devices and Appliances. This level of flame retardant performance is obviously essential when the application involves highly flammable fluids. A 5VA rating means burning stops inside 60 seconds on a vertical specimen without dripping (and without creating a hole in the specimen). For those who require a thinner EMI housing, PREMIER™ PBT-250FR carries a UL 94 rating of V-0 at 1.5mm thick.
To provide an idea of shielding effectiveness with PREMIER™ PBT-250FR, values extend from 40-45 dB attenuation at 30 to 1,500 MHz, up to 80-85 dB at 20,000 to 40,000 MHz, ensuring the suitability of this semi-crystalline material in almost all automotive fuel/fluid-based applications. These performance levels are supported by good chemical resistance to substances such petroleum, motor oil, brake fluid and antifreeze, an attribute that is inherent in PBT grades.

2.0“ smart TFT display with touch and I/O
MMS Electronics has available a new 2.0” IPS TFT smart display with PCAP touch and object programmable functions. The EA uniTFTs020-ATC is the first display of a new display family with sizes 2.8", 3.5" and 4.3" to follow. Boasting brilliant and high-contrast images, even in bright sunlight with a 1,000 cd/m2 luminance and viewing angles of almost 360°. All touch and display functions as well as animations and calculations can be freely programmed using the new uniTFTDesigner Windows software tool with drag and drop function.
