power level at +9.1 dBm and achieved a 280 Gbps data rate (35 GBaud 256QAM) at 0 dBm power output — which is said to be the highest data rate reported to date in the 300 GHz band. This significant achievement is largely attributed to Keysight’s Vector Component Analyser, built on the latest N524XB series PNA-X Microwave Network Analysers equipped with digital predistortion techniques, which
optimised signal integrity and minimised distortion to enable this unprecedented data transmission speed.
Joe Rickert, vice president and head of Keysight’s High Frequency Centre of Excellence, said: “This 280 Gbps world record underscores Keysight’s commitment to providing the advanced test and measurement solutions critical for unlocking the potential of sub-THz
frequencies for 6G. Our Vector Component Analyser, coupled with our expertise in high-fidelity signal generation and distortion mitigation, is empowering industry leaders like NTT and NTT Innovative Devices to push the boundaries

Advanced Energy launches medical CF-rated AC-DC power supplies A
dvanced Energy Industries, a global specialist in highly engineered, precision power conversion, measurement and control solutions, has released the new NCF425 series of CF-rated medical open frame AC-DC power supplies. The system-level cardiac fl oating (CF) rating is the most stringent medical device electrical safety classifi cation, with certifi cation needed for equipment that has direct contact with the heart or bloodstream.
Advanced Energy described itself as one of the few innovators providing standard off-the-shelf CF-rated power products. This launch further expands its CF-rated portfolio, which was initially released in September 2024 with the release of the NCF150 series followed by the NCF250 and NCF600 series. Advanced Energy’s NCF series achieves a sub-10 µA leakage current and integrates the high levels of isolation required in critical medical devices. “The NCF425 is the fourth in our NCF family of off-the-shelf CF-rated AC-DC power products for medical devices,” said Emdrem
Tan, Advanced Energy’s executive vice president, system power. “Advanced Energy offers the broadest portfolio of standard CF-rated products in the industry, with this new release offering additional options for designing critical medical systems. It helps reduce the number of isolation components needed, and minimizes system size, cost, and time to market.”
The NCF family is designed to simplify thermal and EMI management, reduce system size and weight, and reduce the bill of materials (BOM). It also includes functionality normally provided at the system level, reducing time and complexity in the development process. The NCF425, certifi ed to the medical safety standard IEC 60601-1, delivers a
maximum output power of 425 W in a
3.5 x 6 x 1.5-inch form factor. It also features 5 kV defi brillator pulse protection and meets the highest possible (2 x MOPP) means of patient protection rating, which requires isolation to 4 kVac and a creepage of at least 8 mm.
Applications include surgical generators, RF ablation, pulsed fi eld ablation (PFA), cardiac assist devices and monitors, and cardiac mapping systems.

s high-end machine vision cameras feature increasing shutter speeds, scanner systems need brighter laser light sources to grant constant and reliable 24/7 operation. The new FLEXPOINT MVgoldHP laser module from LASER COMPONENTS combines high light intensity up to 2000 mW with an integrated thermoelectric cooler and pulsing function. This combination avoids overheating and provides stable, long-standing scanning processes. Digital modulation (active high or active low) is applied to tune the new laser module precisely to the takt time of the camera shutter.
www.cieonline.co.uk The line optics of the new
FLEXPOINT MVgoldHP module is produced in-house. It delivers a sharp, uniform laser line whose high output power is suitable for difficult measuring tasks, e.g. when inspecting steel or other hot materials. It comes at five wavelengths and provides up to 1 W for 525 nm, 638 nm, 660 nm, and 808 nm as well as up to 2 W for 445 nm. The compact housing measures 48 mm in diameter and 146 mm in length and is available with different focus options to accurately fi t line thickness and depth of focus for each MV application.
The new FLEXPOINT MVgoldHP will be available from July 2025.
