supply chain difficulties brought by the pandemic. Other developments have been equally important. The Anglia Design Partner programme gave customers access to design resource when everyone was working from home. BOM+ allows customers to load a Bill of Materials (BOM) and get a volume quote in under two minutes whether they are working from home or in the office. Anglia API gives customers access to inventory, pricing and availability data in real-time directly from Anglia Live in their own business system accessible wherever they are working. Anglia Unicorn is a made to measure service supporting start-ups, university spinouts and technology investors – which continued without a break through the whole of lockdown and now provides essential help to start-ups placing their first orders in an exceptionally tricky market. Most recently, Anglia has achieved PLC status exposing it to the most rigorous financial scrutiny to demonstrate its growth, quality and capabilities and reflect positively to potential customers and suppliers.

2023 forecast

Whatever opportunities and challenges 2023 proves to bring, Anglia will face them with confidence. Today, in consultation with its customers it is continually seeking to introduce the innovations that allow us to confidently face

the new challenges that will arise in the coming years. It will continue to maintain and grow its UK inventory, invest in good people and innovate to help customers. During its 51st year it will be unveiling further exciting plans to expand the team, enhance its service and continue to grow its share of customer’s electronic component business. This will include innovations in design support, logistics and service. It is building a business that can accommodate the next phase of Anglia’s growth from £100 million to £150 million and more.

Forecasting is even more difficult than usual in the light of the uncertainty around the world, but the supply chain situation should ease. Market forecasts for next year are widely scattered, which shows how hard it is to call.

Conclusion

Today’s market conditions will pass. Anglia has a great track record of growing quicker than the industry – something that it will continue to maintain through the current challenges and as new ones arise. This track record demonstrates that it is consistently delivering for its customers, leading them to expand their business with Anglia. Most of all, it is the outstanding team that gives

Anglia its future. Anglia is a great place to work and a great company to deal with as a supplier and a customer, and that is something that won’t change. Anglia has grown extremely rapidly and usually faster than the market. Its prospects are as exciting today as they were 50 years ago when Anglia was established.
