FROM THE EDITOR OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2021

The Summer Shoe Shows are over for another year….

It’s now October, and the Summer Shoe Shows are over for another year! It certainly has been a challenging year for the footwear trade!

The late summer sunshine has been a bonus for holidaymakers, but for some footwear retailers the holiday rush to the coast in September left many High Street shops high and dry! Let’s hope the colder weather this winter arrives in good time for your customers shopping for their new winter boots! Check out our popular Best Sellers and Independent Footwear Retailer of the Month sections on pages 28 and 30 of this edition. Independent footwear retailers who would like their shop(s) profiled in Footwear Today Magazine, might be interested joining our Best Sellers panel? If so, I would be delighted to hear from you and tell you how you can participate and claim your free profile, three whole pages dedicated solely to your business.

We would need to know your five best-selling footwear brands overall, for each of Ladies, Men’s and Children’s footwear. Also, by categories: Ladies Comfort/Casuals, Fashion/Contemporary shoes, Formal footwear and Boots or Sandals depending on the season. The same categories apply for Men’s. For Children’s footwear, it’s Pre-Walkers, Walkers and School Shoes.

Those independent footwear retailers who are profiled in the Retailer of the Month section automatically become members of the Footwear Today Best Sellers Panel. Here’s hoping that you all have a great Autumn and Winter Season in your shop(s)! Kind regards

Cheryl Taylor
