NEW PRODUCTS Bedroom Athletics Launch First Digital Slippers
Independent footwear brand Bedroom Athletics launches first ever digital slippers to help customers better understand the construction and materials used in the design and manufacture of their products. Working with fashion design students from the University of South Wales the iconic slipper brand collaborated with four students on four key styles.
Using the innovative design platform Clo3d the fashion design students worked with technical specifications and images supplied by Bedroom Athletics. The digital slippers will initially be used across marketing assets to highlight materials and benefits with further plans to embrace digital techniques in future design and fit processes. Howard Wetter, Managing Director Bedroom Athletics explains: “Digital clothing and the expression of fashion through digital technology has become increasingly popular whilst we’ve all been spending more time shopping online.” “We wanted to see how our products could be realised digitally, especially as a key factor for our customers when buying our footwear is what they’re made of and how they’re made. It’s all about comfort and having the right products next to your skin and supporting your feet. “It’s important to have accurate imagery to show products when you can’t see and feel the real thing and we hope that by providing digital versions as well we can help even more of our customers make informed choices when buying online.”
Steven Wright, Academic Subject Manager, Fashion Marketing and Advertising, University of South Wales commented: “Our lives are becoming ever more digital, and fashion is no different. The rise of digital fashion as a genre has been hastened due to the global lockdowns over the last two years. Collections are now designed and shown on entirely digital platforms. It is our role as a university to ensure we are on the cutting edge. This project has given our students a rare opportunity to work with a leading brand to develop something never seen before. We are proud of our students and our involvement” “We might be selling digital slippers to avatars and digital customer profiles in the future,” says Wetter. “Platforms and retailers like Dress-X are creating entirely digital collections already and we’ll be watching with interest how digital expressions of fashion further develop.”
British Luxury Footwear Brand Rosamund Muir announces wholesale launch
British luxury footwear brand Rosamund Muir has announced the launch of their products to wholesale, and from the start they are doing things differently. “We keep sustainability at the forefront of our decision making and this has played a core part in organizing our production & selling processes. We will operate outside of the traditional luxury fashion calendar - selling our shoes in-season, and with low minimums, maintaining a respect for the handmade process while ensuring sustainable small batch production without excess.”
HASSIA stands for premium products with fashion, comfort and functionality
Craftsmanship and elegant design from Austria - tradition since 1884.
Casual college types give the collection new impulses and complement the typical HASSIA summery slipper themes. Sandals are inspired by the outdoor world. Strikingly flared soles give the collection a fresh look. Smart casual forms the big bracket of the collection. For the return of occasion-related clothing, HASSIA is prepared with pumps and ballerinas in new summer versions.
Function is the focus at HASSIA. Soles are light, step is soft, materials are soft and padded. There are also numerous stretch materials and functional cuts. All shoes have removable insoles.
The HASSIA multi-width system: • Comfort Fit (G-H) and Comfort Plus Fit (J-K) for extra wide demands. • The current fashion themes “Reduction” - “Naturalness & Functionality” - “Optimism” are reflected in the collection and at the same time describe the zeitgeist.

In addition to the neutral tones from white to light beige and the natural tones from hazel to ecru, the pastel colors from light blue to pistachio to vanilla and skin tones form the current basis of the collection. Flash colors such as bright red and ink blue round off the color palette. All topics are presented with soft, natural leathers from calf nubuck and calf suede to flattering nappas and are the basis at HASSIA. Braided leather and canvas interpret the natural
themes.
The HASSIA “Responsibility” concept integrates the topic of sustainability. Models that have at least two main materials such as upper material, lining or sole and are selected and made in accordance with the concept above are shown under the collection name “Ready”. A tree signet in a noble “one line graphic” distinguishes these models.
HASSIA shows attitude, stands by values and considers the interplay of all factors:
