ENCLOSURES FEATURE
ALL THE STYLE FOR OKW’S NEW ENCLOSURES
O
KW has extended its range of Style-Case handheld enclosures with a new version, without a battery compartment: this makes it ideal for wired connected electronics, with more space provided inside. The ergonomic Style-Case suits applications such as remote controls,
notably in medical and social care electronics, but also in a wide range of office, industrial and household controller applications. Its design fits these – a modern high-gloss finish imparts a pleasurable user experience, with a simplicity that eases cleaning, vital in the medical sector. The operating area in the top is recessed to accommodate a membrane keypad or product label. Style-Case is available as standard in three sizes – S (123 x 48 x 24mm), M (147 x 56 x 27mm) and L (166 x 64 x 31mm) – and two plastics: high gloss traffic white (RAL 9016) ASA or black (RAL 9005) PMMA for infrared applications. Both plastics are rated UL94 HB for flammability. The new version of size L is available only in traffic white ASA.

RS COMPONENTS INTRODUCES FIBOX’S LATEST
R
S Components (RS) has introduced the new Cardmaster and Piccolo ranges of ABS and polycarbonate enclosures from Finnish manufacturer Fibox. The Cardmaster range
is intended for packaging measurement, monitoring and process control equipment, and comes in sizes ranging from 166 x 160 x 80mm to 390 x 316 x 167mm. It has two compartments: one for circuit boards and sensors, with PCB insertion slots, and another for terminals and wiring. Cardmaster polycarbonate
enclosures provide IP65 ingress protection, IK07 or IK08 impact protection, and are available to meet NEMA Type 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 enclosure standards, the UL 746C 5V polymer safety standard, and the UL 508 standard for industrial control equipment. ABS versions can
meet IP65, IK07, NEMA Type 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, plus UL 94 HB flammability standards. Screw secured with a fixed opaque frame or smoked transparent hinged covers, it allows for easy access and inspection by engineers. The Piccolo range is designed to house pushbuttons, terminal blocks and other control devices, and is also well suited for mounting components for controlling lifts and hoists. Enclosure surfaces have a high- quality finish to allow printing. Transparent and opaque covers are available on the PC range, and opaque on ABS. Both ranges are available now from RS in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
